1st Annual Bristol County Ruff Ryders fundraiser
Welcome to the the 1st Annual Bristol County Ruff Ryder Fundraiser Event. We are pleased to announce our 2010 recipient, Curt Grace.
On January 4, 2010, Curtis Grace II, was diagnosed with an uncommon type of Leukemia, seen only once every 5 years. At the all too young age of 13, ‘LIL Curt’ (known by friends and family), life unrepentantly changed forever. Curt was an honor roll student who loved to play football and his favorite sport basketball. Lil Curt’s hobbies consisted of riding bikes and skateboarding which is his passion. Like any 13 year old, Curt loves to play his xbox which today, allows for him to keep in touch with the outside world.
A little over 3 months since being diagnosed with Leukemia, Curt received a much needed bone marrow transplant on April 22, 2010. This transplant will allow Curt in one years time, from the date of the procedure, to reconnect with the outside world.
Today, Curt now 14 years of age, spends all of his time primarily indoors. Gone are the days of LIL Curt skateboarding and exploring the great outdoors on his bike, with his friends.
The Bristol County Ruff Ryders are calling upon everyone to please help support Curtis' cause. The proceeds generated from the fundraiser, will assist with the purchase of a central air unit and air purifier, necessary for his health.
We will be holding a party for this event at the ONSET VFW beginning at NOON. Tickets will be on sale, $10 for adults and kids under 12 are free. There will be food, a DJ, games for the kids, bike show w/trophies for best bike (3 divisions sport, custom, vintage), 50/50 raffle and auction.
