Well it's come to two options. Either cut the top tree off flush and try and tap the top of the legs to bolt it or cut at the marks 1/2" down from the trees, weld in tubes with a matching ID to the legs OD and slip a sleeve over the legs as guides still bolting the top of the trees. What to do?
You are not sufficiently explaining the problem. What are you trying to accomplish?
